  i have put up previous posts about this in the past, but i just thought that it was worth mentioning again.

  it has to be of concern to them with how quickly information is getting leaked.

  hell it even surprises at just how slowly information spreads by offical means.

  i'll try to keep this short.

  my experience at the hall is elders not really engaging in friendship building communication with anyone.

  the only time they really communicate with you is to counsel you or tell you where you need to make adjustments.

  Ok hate me now, I was pioneering and an elder, single and very in tune with the congregations individual needs. I was shot down repeatedly when I asked what the elder body was going to do to help brother or sister so and so. They said it was not their problem. It helped me get out of the cult so I am not angry with them, just aware how pathetic they are.

  All these changes in the last five years are mindblowing

  i can't begin to count all the changes that have happened in the last five years.. i just read they're getting rid of the theocratic ministry school from cedar's blog.. i remember when they released the new theo school book back in 2001. how times have changed.. it's almost scary in a way what's happening.

  there's barely any time to adapt to one change before another change comes along.. there's been more changes in the last five years than the previous 100 years.. i feel like there's some grand puppet master pulling his string.. what if the governing body are not really in charge but just give the impression they're in charge.

  could there be someone else behind the scenes?.

  My Mom Is Dying

  i just wanted to say that my dear 89 year old mom is terminally ill and will soon pass.

  she is on morphine and hanging on.

  she has been a devout witness for about 60 years and a wonderful mother.

  So sorry to hear this Min. My mom was 71 when she died, so young. Your mom is your mom no matter how old. Even 89 is too young, We never want to give up our loved ones. When mine died I finally understood why all those authors and academy award winners dedicate their awards to their moms! I can say with full understanding, "I know what you are feeling." At least when mine was in her last months she said "The whole thing is bullshit" because no one rallied to support her in her final months.

  Why zombies?

  i just saw ww-v with brad pitt the other night (i know i am behind the times, still trying to catch up on movies i missed the last 30 years) and it struck me- why are we always fighting zombies?

  is it just easier to justify the carnage?

  it seems to me, that the most horrific carnage seems to be neighbor-vs-neighbor.

  Zombies must be shot in the head. Nothing else works. I think its a metaphor for all the crazy ideas people hold and how it leads to inhuman violence. Other than that its just a movie.

  Crazy Study Stories

  i never really had any studies to speak of, but my parents did have many over the years, and every single one of them was batsh!t crazy in some way.

  there was one lady we kids affectionately termed "dirty robin" (her name was robin) and yes, she was very dirty.

  her kids were filthy and rarely wore clothes.

  I had one study who became a witness. He had intense OCD causing panic attacks. I would get calls at 1 am where he was having a panic attack. He worked in a fast food place and was convinced he got a drop of blood in someone's food from a scratch or small cut and was freaked Jehober would destroy him at the big "A". I had to talk him down. It was exhausting. Eventually he pio-nerd for awhile. (Just like his teacher, lol) He faded the whole Witness thing. Nice guy but really effected.

  I didn't have a lot of tolerance for crazies. Always passed them on to others more "empathetic", actually "desperate" for a study. I knew they wouldn't last long and would take gallons of gas to hunt down. Wasn't worth it.

  What makes WT think they can reassign Bethel volunteers to be Regular Pioneers.

  when the gb cuts loose 1600 volunteers, what makes them think they can continue telling them how they will spend their time?

  i've read on many of these threads that the 1600 will be reassigned.

  what, are they still under some sort of contract?.

  Since they are going to a buffet style service and self laundry its a bad time to be a waiter or laundry worker. On the other hand, cooks should do just fine. They will be sending waiters out to where the need is great, Dennys!

  Imitating Jesus with a goatee vs Elders

  ok.....ya gotta hear this ......pops, who is 80 + , slightly nacisistic, slight case of alzheimers, and a stubborn good ol man.. decided to grow a pretty nice lookin goatee this week..... elders swooped on him so quick, it was crazy....... pops looked like he was diggin the whole show of testosterone being flung in his face , but he stood his ground and smiled.... when the dust settled, and pops had his say..... he replied......"im imitating jesus, and jehovah "....!!!!.

  omg...the smile on my face, and the one on my dads was priceless......along with the frowns on theirs... thats all....just wanted to share that..

  in view of the recent financial pressures being spun as opportunities to hasten armageddon, i think we should look again at the meaning behind their cultic warning of "all must be ready to obey intructions, whether appearing sound or not".

  by dripping these creepy injunctions into the watchtower study and therefore into the conditioned and receptive mind of the jw, how long will it be before they are able to decree something like this?......
